Madhyamam Broadcasting to launch Mediaone TV

With 20 independent Malayalam channels already operating across the state of Kerala at present a new player, Mediaone TV, from Madhyamam Broadcasting now joins the gang. The channel will be formally launched on February 10, 2013 by Defence Minister AK Antony.
With ‘Neeru Nanma’ has its slogan, Mediaone TV’s objective is to promote goodness and engaging in independent, creative efforts by utilising visual media.

Stating the rationale behind the name Mediaone, M Sajid, Deputy CEO, Mediaone TV said, “We are defining the media and are in the No. 1 position in all areas such as content, technology, look and feel.”
The first priority of the channel will be news. There will also be general entertainment content. The channel will have an array of programmes, including news bulletins, current affairs programmes, reality shows, serials, kids’ programmes and so on. The channel is targetted at Malayalees within the country and in the Middle East.
The team leading Medione TV includes Abdussalam Ahmed, who is CEO of the Channel, M Sajid is the Deputy CEO, M Venkitaraman is the COO, while CL Thomas is the Editor-in-Chief.
The channel is targeting advertisers across the country and is looking at all platforms such as D2H, Sun Direct, Dish, DD4, and so on to reach the viewers.
Hoardings, newspaper and radio advertisements, clubbed with social media activations, are being employed to promote the new channel.
