Disney signs 50-odd brand associations for Star Wars

Disney's Consumer Products business in India has signed approximately 50 brands for associations with the latest Hollywood big-budget film Star Wars — the Force Awakens, slated to release in India on 25 December.
Earlier this year Disney had signed up 50 advertisers for the latest Avengers sequel, which was the highest for any film in India. 
Advertisers who have signed up for Star Wars include Hindustan Unilever, ICICI Bank, HP, Hero, Funskool, Lego, Myntra, Jack and Jones, Big Bazaar and Starmark. Siddharth Roy Kapoor, managing director at Disney India, declined to comment on the brands that have signed up for promotions with Star Wars. 
The Star Wars series, created by George Lucas, is returning after a gap of 10 years. Avengers had earned Rs 120 crore in India and the new Star Wars isexpected to collect at least Rs 100 crore.
