SKM Allege Voilation of TRAI Norms Framed For Cable TV Transmission

The Sikkim Krantikaari Morcha SKM party slammed the state authority for being muted in the matter related to the Television program transmission through cable media. SKM surged the report of Telecom regulatory Authority of India TRAI as well as made the Urban Development and Housing Department UD & HD letter public. SKM spur allegation that despite the TRAI regulation there has been a lexical violation related to the television program broadcasting over the cable network, as per the directives set by TRAI Regulatory Act on such cable medium (carrier) there is no provision made for carrying Political news or activity despite of those categories of TV program which are permissible under the norms. However statutory warning letter was made by the department in 2004 to one of the cable operator but the cable television pay no response, SKM alleges.
The SKM party has immediately asked for an action related to gross violation of rule framed by the TRAI. SKM reiterated that no any cable TV network has so far being recognized/registered by TRAI in their official documents hailing from the state of Sikkim as such, so how come there is a cable TV running without any consent of authoritative nod or direction of the TV law reinforcement agency TRAI.
