Viacom18 gives digital push to Nick with ‘Nickworld App’

Viacom18 Media has launched a digital app named ‘Nickworld’ that will offer the best of shows aired on Nick, Sonic and Nick Jr./Teen Nick.
The app is available on the Android platform for free and with a fee of Rs. 55 on iOS for an ad-free experience.

Once downloaded, users can catch full-length episodes of all the popular international and local shows like SpongeBob SquarePants, Kung Fu Panda, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dora – The Explorer, Motu Patlu, Pakdam Pakdai, Keymon Ache, etc. on their fingertips.
Rajneel Kumar, VP & Business Head- Digital Media, Viacom18 stated, “Nickelodeon, as a channel, caters to a diverse target group, from toddlers to teens. We have replicated the demand of the same audience on digital platforms with the launch of Nickworld app. Keeping up with the ever rising digital demands of Gen Z, we believe that kids will now love to access their favorite shows/ episodes at a place and time convenient to them.”
The app is designed purely from a kid’s perspective of using gestures and hence has an intuitively built User Interface. Further, keeping the online safety as precedence, the app refrains from any social connect like Facebook or Twitter.
The app also locks the screen once the video of an episode starts, thereby making it easy for parents to leave their device behind with kids without any worry.
In order to ensure maximum reach, the app is built with such technology that lets users watch the videos on a low bandwidth and not having to use 3G or wi-fi connection specifically.
