It was a happy time for India’s two private direct-to-home (DTH) operators Dish TV and Tata Sky as the Telecom Dispute Settlement and appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) on 3rd April put off their license fee dues case till 6th May.
Earlier on 2nd April Tata Sky along with Reliance Big Digital had taken the issue to TDSAT.
However, Reliance Big Digital was not so luckey to get a relief. Earlier in the day reliance Big Digital TV had also got interim relief from the TDSAT on a similar matter till 6th May. However, its relief was overturned in the afternoon hearing after the TDSAT noticed that Clause 3.1.1 in Reliance’s licence was different from the corresponding clause in the licence granted to Tata Sky.
