Blinkx partners with GrindMedia for action sports

Users of the blinkx online video platform now have access to TransWorld extreme sports channels after inking a deal with action/adventure sports media company GrindMedia.
Through its AdHoc platform, blinkx will place contextually relevant advertising against videos and share resulting revenue with GrindMedia, who creates original and up-close coverage of action sports including motocross, BMX biking, skating, surfing and snowboarding. The TransWorld channels will join the existing GrindMedia action sports channels onblinkx.com  to create what the partners hope will be "an all-encompassing" video destination for extreme sports enthusiasts.

"Extreme sports clips, from world record stunts to crazy crashes, are some of the most popular and most shared sports videos online," remarked blinkx SVP and Chief Marketing Officer Dan Slivjanovski. "We are very pleased to add these exciting new TransWorld clips to our exceptional and up-to-date action sports video library provided by GrindMedia, offering our extreme sports fans even more high-quality, adrenaline-pumping entertainment."
"At GrindMedia we offer professionally produced, authentic videos for action sports audiences of all kinds, whether they prefer riding waves off the beach or slashing powder on the mountain," added Drew Coalson, Content Syndication Manager, GrindMedia. "We are thrilled to expand our partnership with blinkx, whose advanced search technology and social media integrated site make it easy for extreme sports enthusiasts to search, discover and share action-packed clips of their sport of choice on any device."
