Comcast exec Johnston named SVP of operations at SCTE

Comcast human resources executive Lindsay Johnston has been named SVP of operations at the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers.

SCTE, the trade association which runs training and certification programs for cable MSO employees and hosts the annual Cable-Tec Expo, said Johnston's duties will include human resources, legal, information systems, membership and facilities management. Johnston, who was SVP of HR at Comcast Programming Properties, was appointed to the position held by Cathy Oakes, who died suddenly in November at the age of 48.
