CCI rejects dominance charges against Zee Turner, Star Den JV

Competition Commission of India (CCI) has rejected allegations of market dominance against a partnership between Zee Turner and Star Den Media Services for distribution of television channels.
CCI said in an order a probe into complaint against Media Pro Enterprise India Pvt Ltd, an equal joint venture between Zee Turner and Star Den, did not fund any abuse of dominance by them in the market for television channel distribution.

According to regulator, the joint venture cannot create any entry barriers for the new entrants in the market nor can it foreclose the competition by creating hindrance for new players to enter in the market due to the present market dynamics and TRAI regulations.
