Advancement in technology helps every sector to grow faster but now it will be another cause behind the social service too.
Along with its strategy of setting up own infrastructure, Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) is also heralding a range of social services backed by advancement in technology. The technologies would be provided on RIL’s own optical fiber cable (OFC) network, unlike the ‘asset-light model’ followed by other telecom operators. RIL would “soon” launch 4G services through its telecom unit Reliance Jio Infocomm. The initiatives include installation of fire alarms at residential and commercial apartments that automatically go off and inform fire stations in case of a calamity. Other services includes Intrusion detection system, that informs the police station and also sends messages to selected mobile handsets.Tele-medicines that enable doctors to remote diagnose patients, and technologies for helping elders (monitoring health and physical conditions) are other technologies in the offing.
