Court reduces Samsung’s fine by $450.5 million-Report

A US court on 1 March 2013 cut the $1 billion damage by 45% which South Korean tech giant Samsung was asked to pay Apple Inc in design patent case.
US District Court Judge Lucy Koh reduced the fine by $450.5 million for 14 Samsung products. They include some best selling products.

Ordering a new trial to recalculate damages for those products Koh said that mistakes had been made in determining when Apple had first notified Samsung about the alleged violations of patents for its trend-setting iPhone and iPad.
