Times Internet Limited to manage Gawker Media's two technology websites

Times Internet Ltd (TIL) has formed a strategic alliance with American online firm Gawker Media to manage the latter's two technology websites in India. The partnership gives TIL exclusive right to brand, monetise, syndicate and sub-license Gizmodo.com and Lifehacker.com within India.
"They (the websites) have fantastic, relevant content for a younger generation that's increasingly interested in technology," says Times Internet chief executive officer Satyan Gajwani.

Gaby Darbyshire, chief operating officer of Gawker, said, "With an international presence in eight countries outside the USA, India has been a natural next step for our global expansion, and TIL is a natural fit for Gizmodo and Lifehacker."
Gizmodo.com, a site focused on gadgets, is Gawker's most popular website with nine million unique visitors. Lifehacker.com is an eight-year-old weblog with posts on technology. TIL, part of The Times of India Group, is the largest digital network in India with over 30 million unique visitors per month. The company operates and owns over 30 properties in domains like news, entertainment, commerce and mobile.
