Monica Tata quits Turner International India

After a stint of eight years, Monica Tata, General Manager, Entertainment Networks, South Asia, Turner International India has resigned from the company. 
Tata would continue to serve her notice period at Turner till the end of the year. 

This is the second high profiled exit coming from the company in the last three months; exchange4media readers would recall that in September 2012, Anshuman Mishra, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Networks and Content Distribution, Turner International Asia Pacific had quit the company after a 14-year stint. 
Tata had joined Turner in 2004 as Vice President - Advertising Sales, prior to which she had worked in STAR India for nearly 12 years. 
In her current role at Turner, she was responsible for steering and overseeing all network initiatives across Turner’s entertainment brand portfolio in South Asia. Her mandate included development, supervision and providing strategic direction to all Turner entertainment channels. She was overseeing advertising sales, research and marketing communication functions, providing strategic direction, driving initiatives to support revenue growth for the company’s entertainment offerings in South Asia.
At STAR India, Tata was driving sales revenue growth with advertisers on a national and international level. 
In 2012, Tata was identified as one of IMPACT 50 Most Influential Women in Media, Marketing and Advertising in India. She is an active member on industry bodies such as the IAA India Chapter (International Advertising Association) and the IBF (Indian Broadcasting Federation).
