Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd proposes to launch two niche channels for food and golf by the year-end, as part of plans to diversify its bouquet of channels. “We plan to launch two to three niche channels for food, golf and kids once the regulatory clearances are received,” Mr Punit Goenka, CEO and Managing Director, Zee Entertainment, told reporters.
Zee has applied for licences to launch some six to seven niche and regional channels. The company's current bouquet has 32 channels. Zee Entertainment shares gained marginally by 1.66 per cent or Rs 4.55 to close at Rs 278.65 on the BSE on 19 October 2010.
