CBeebies re-enters India using ZeeQ.

ZeeQ, the edutainment channel for children in India, is to air a block of programming each morning under licence from CBeebies – the popular BBC brand for new born to six-year-olds.
Beginning on 1 July, ZeeQ will air the award-winning show Teletubbies, which is aimed at babies and toddlers, the animated series 3rd & Bird, for three to five-year-olds, and Charlie and Lola, an amusing award-winning animation about two siblings, adapted for TV from the much loved books by Lauren Child.

The shows will be aired from Monday to Thursday between 9.30am-10.30am with repeats shown on weekends between 11am-1pm.
The partnership will provide pre-school content to ZeeQ viewers, who are currently in the age range of four to 14.
It may be recalled that CBeebies was launched as kids channel in India in May 2007 and closed down last December for commercial reasons. It was the only ad free channel in India.
