Value added services provider DigiVive said it has bagged mobile rights for the cricket Tri-Series featuring India, West Indies and Sri Lanka, starting on 28 June 2013.
"DigiVive bought the rights from TAJ TV Ltd. Along with match broadcast, users will also be able to enjoy the match highlights in the special VoD section of DigiVive's mobile TV service, nexGTv till August, 2013," it said in a release.
nexGTv is a mobile application that provides access to live TV channels and video on demand on mobile handsets.
The nexGTv service has been activated by over 14 million users and it sees about 40,000 downloads everyday on an average, it added.
The mobile-TV service witnessed a huge traction and heavy traffic when it picked up the rights for mobile streaming of the T20 World Cup, Pepsi IPL and other sporting extravaganza in the past, it said.
DigiVive has partnered with major telecom operators and OEMs including Airtel, Vodafone, Idea, BSNL, MTNL, MTS, Videocon, Zen Mobile, Karbonn and Pental Mobiles. It expects to reach 25 million downloads by 2014.
