IT city Bengaluru now has another four days to go for digitization. Justice Nazeer who was hearing the case extended the date of the hearing to 5 April following a petition filed by the Karnataka Cable Operators Association earlier.
The high court issued the stay till April 1 and the notices were issued to the union government and the Information and Broadcasting Ministry.
The judge decided to postpone the hearing date as two cases had been filed one by a new MSO which had got its licence only recently and the other by the cable TV association. The newly licensed MSO stated that he had not been given enough time to acquire STBs and install them in subscriber homes.
