Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd has been provided Mobile Switching Centre Code, Mobile Country Code and Mobile Network Code to roll out its 4G services using Long-Term Evolution (LTE) in 800MHz, 1800MHz and 2300MHz bands through an integrated ecosystem by the government.
A mobile country code and a mobile network code are collectively used to identify a mobile phone operator using the various communication network platforms.
“RJIL is having pan-India broadband wireless access (BWA) spectrum. Its total equivalent spectrum footprint has increased from 597.6 MHz to 751.1 MHz (including uplink and downlink), strengthening its position as the largest holder of liberalised spectrum," the company said.
The company further added it is setting up a pan India telecom network to provide high speed services in key domains such as education, healthcare, security, financial services, government-citizen interfaces and entertainment. The company has made significant progress in building LTE business, including infrastructure, sales, distribution, applications and content.
The company explained about its new launched wi-fi hot spots across India and told that company is entering into agreements with various state and local authorities to provide Wi-Fi services.
