Letv, China’s biggest and fastest growing video streaming provider, is ready to launch its three competitively-priced high-end ‘superphones’ — the Le 1, 1 Pro and Max — for the home market in Beijing.
The Le 1 and 1 Pro are going to hit Chinese stores by May and India by this year-end.
According to Tin Mok, VP-Overseas Business, Letv, the company is taking Indian market seriously and planning to set up a R&D department there and localising user interface (UI) models.
The phone runs on Letv’s Ecosystem User Interface (EUI) based on the Android 5.0 (Lollipop) operating system. It has 0.8 mm bezel and a reversible USB Type-C charging port.
The Le 1 is priced at 1,499 CNY (around Rs. 15,000) while 1 Pro is priced at 2,499 CNY (around Rs. 25,000). The international versions will be supported for Google Play services.
