Veteran journalist and media personality, S Balasubramanian, Chairman, Vikatan group of publications passed away on December 19, 2014. He was 78.
S Balasubramanian, was the son of a film producer and owner of Gemini Studios S S Vasan. Balasubramanian, pioneering in the field of investigative journalism, Junior Vikatan was his brainchild. He has also made revolutionary changes in content of the group’s flagship magazine, Ananda Vikatan.
Born in 1936, Balasubramanian has been a dominant force in the Indian media for the last six decades. He served as the Editor & Managing Director of Ananda Vikatan and was also the Managing Director of Gemini Studios.
