Kanimozhi refuses her role in transaction of Kalaignar TV

DMK MP Kanimozhi, facing trial in the 2G spectrum allocation scam told a Delhi court on 7th May that she had nothing to do with management and operations of Kalaignar TV (P) Ltd when Rs 200 crore was allegedly transferred to it through circuitous routes.
She said she was 20 percent shareholder, but had resigned on June 20, 2007 from the post of director, which she held for about two weeks

On alleged transaction of Rs 200 crore, she said, “I become aware during trial that Kalaignar TV (P) Ltd received some funds from Cineyug Films (P) Ltd, which were later returned. I do not know details.”
She told the court she was director between June 6 and June 20, 2007. “After my resignation on June 20, 2007, I have had no role in management, administration or running of day-to-day operations. The transactions are said to have taken place between December 2008 and February 2011. In the said period, I had no role in running the company,” Kanimozhi, DMK chief M Karunanidhi’s daughter, said.
