Meeting on cable television digitisation to be held soon

Coimbatore and Tirupur were the two districts that helped the Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable TV Corporation earn more, said K. Radhakrishnan, the Corporation Chairman.
He was addressing cable TV operators in the city on 2 February 2013.

He said that the income from the two districts account for over 10 per cent of the revenue.
Of those, Coimbatore had 2,700 operators and 6,60,000 household connections. The number of connections in the State stood at 23,000.
He also told them that in the past the Corporation suffered losses as private operators had a free run. Things were quite different now.
He said that the Corporation had begun the process of digitisation and would soon conduct a meeting with the operators.
Minister S. Damodaran, Mayor S.M. Velusamy, District Revenue Officer K. Karpagam and others were present.
