CQ- ICAI to bring educational channel for students on 15 August

The Institutes of Charted Accountant of India (ICAI) will bring its educational channel for charted accountant’s students on 15th August.
The ICAI will use the direct-to-home (DTH) platform of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) to launch the channel. The content, mostly live, will reach a teleport/earth station through optical fibre connectivity.
ICAI President K. Raghu said the proposed move would benefit nearly 8.3 lakh students pursuing the chartered accountancy course besides commerce students. It would be a free to air channel.
To revolutionise the education delivery system, the ICAI has in the past been using all possible ICT modes by delivering audio/video lectures through Gyan Darshan.
Besides DTH delivery, the content is also intended to be streamed online and will be further converted into e-content and made available on demand, to be viewed on IP-connected devices that include, PCs, smartphones, tablets and Aakash.
Viewers across the country can interact live with the teacher and ask questions and clear doubts through video conferencing, mobile, landline, SMS and e-mails. The teachers/subject-matter experts will answer the questions instantaneously on broadcast mode.
