Indore branch of the Madhya Pradesh High Court has directed multi-system operators (MSOs) not to disconnect signal feeds to their affiliated local cable operators (LCOs), extending the stay on disconnection of the signal feed till the case is finalised.
The Court had on 4th July 2014, given an interim order not to disconnect the signals to the LCOs while hearing applications filed by Siti Cable and Hathway Cable & Datacom.
Malwa Cable Operators Sangh (MCOS) had filed the petition against the MSOs for arbitrarily increasing the subscription demand and illegally disconnecting their signal feed to LCOs who were not paying the increased rates. LCOs have also challenged the DAS regulations and TRAI and the Union Government have also been made respondents.
While disposing of the two applications, the court has put up the matter for final hearing.
