India’s direct-to-home (DTH) service provider Dish TV has roped in Sandeep Bajpai as its new vice-president of marketing. He was earlier with Tata DoCoMo.
Bajpai brings with him 14 years of experience in the fields of brand development, strategic marketing, consumer reach and analytics in the telecom and retail space.
Bajpai would focus on consolidating Dish TV’s presence in the market, while strengthening the organisational capabilities within Dish TV.
Prior to Tata DoCoMo, Bajpai had worked as Head of Marketing with Spice Hotspot, a mobility retail chain with a pan-India footprint. He has been instrumental in creating brand transformation to transfer the existing equity and consumer franchise from Hotspot to the master Brand Spice, thereby generating enterprise value.
Sandeep has also worked at Bharti Airtel. He has addressed areas like marketing communications for Idea Cellular, as well as developed a comprehensive marketing plan for Idea to build the business post launch.
